Terms and conditions
The terms on which you sign up for FinPlay education — what you pay, what you get for it and what happens when plans change.
Valid from October 18, 2026.

What you are ordering
A place at a specific educational event — on the date, in the format and at the price stated for that event. Your registration is binding once you send it; for a paid event, once the payment has been received.
Price and payment
Prices are stated including VAT, and what you see at the event is the final amount. No fees are added.
Payment is by card through the Stripe payment gateway. We email the invoice as soon as the payment has been received; it also serves as proof of payment.
After you send your registration, we hold your place for the time shown at payment. If the payment does not arrive in that time, the place goes back on offer and you can register again.
If the payment goes through only after that time and the place has meanwhile been taken by someone else, we will not confirm your registration and we refund the money automatically to the card you paid with. We will send you an email about it.
If you decide not to go
You cancel your registration yourself, through the link in the confirmation email. You do not need to write to anyone or wait for anything.
- in good time before the start—we refund the full amount paid to the card you paid with; the deadline is stated for each event
- shortly before the start—we can no longer refund the money, but you can move to another date or send someone else in your place
A refund usually takes five to ten working days — that depends on the bank, not on us.
Transfer to another person and change of date
You can transfer your ticket to someone else. You enter their details, they receive a new confirmation and your original link stops working — from then on the place is theirs.
You can also move to another date of the same event, as long as it has the same price, a free place, is open to the public and the original date has not started yet. That way nothing is paid extra or refunded.
If we cancel the event
We will let you know by email. What happens next depends on whether you had a confirmed place at the event.
If you had a confirmed place (you paid, or you registered for a free event): you can decide within 7 days of the notice, by midnight of the last day. Either you move to another date — the money goes with you — or we refund the full amount paid. If the new date is cheaper, we do not refund the difference to your card but credit it to a discount voucher. If the new date is cancelled too and you choose a refund, we refund the full original payment and the unused voucher with the difference expires.
Once the deadline has passed we no longer offer a refund — instead we automatically send you a 20% discount voucher for another training, valid for 6 months. You receive at most one voucher for each cancelled date.
If you were on the waiting list or did not pay anything, we simply cancel the registration and let you know. You paid nothing, so nothing is refunded.
Waiting list
When a free event is full, you can join the waiting list. When a place becomes free, we contact the next people in line and whoever confirms first gets it. A place on the waiting list is not a reservation and costs nothing.
For paid events we do not have a waiting list yet: once the event is full, registration closes.
Discount codes and vouchers
A discount code is valid for the events stated with it, and only until its issuer switches it off or it expires. Some codes are tied to an email address or to a number of uses. The code is entered in the registration form and the discount is shown before payment and on the invoice.
The voucher for a cancelled date is worth 20% (plus the price difference, if you moved to a cheaper date), is valid for 6 months and can be used once. It cannot be paid out in cash.
Closed trainings
Some trainings, especially for lecturers and teachers, are closed — you can only register with an access code you receive from FinPlay or from the lecturer. The code is tied to that one training; the lecturer can change it, and then the old link no longer registers anyone new.
How the event works
For an online event we email the link to join; a browser is enough. For an on-site event the address is stated with the date and in the confirmation.
The education is for information purposes. It is not financial advice or a recommendation of a specific product, and it does not replace an expert assessment of your situation.
Complaints
If the event did not go as we promised, write to info@finplay.sk. We will handle your complaint within 30 days at the latest and inform you of the outcome in writing.
If you are not satisfied with how it was handled, you have the right to turn to an alternative dispute resolution body — for example the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia).
Personal data protection
What we collect about you, why and for how long is in a separate document, Privacy.
This is a translation. The Slovak version is binding.
